Blessings in Disguise

How many of you have ever taken for granted an acquaintance only to find out later God placed them in your life for a reason? Today, I was running some errands and felt the need to stop by a friends house and leave my contact information. This friend, I have known for a short time and though our discussions have been somewhat limited; they have been truthful and fulfilling. This is a person though that I did not see in the light that I do now. God's timing is always perfect.

When he called me this evening, we talked for few hours. I have been praying for God to place people into my life that I can lean on, that I can trust and that love Him. After our discussions, I felt strongly that this is one of the primary reasons this person has been placed in my life. Our contact prior to this was limited but based on the fellowship this evening, there is a lot of room for growth between us and I pray that is what God intends to accomplish. In this, I am very excited. It couldn't have come at a better time either. Some will understand the timing on this better than others.

Prayer:
Lord, I want to thank you this evening for friends You place in our lives to help us when we are in need. Even those friends that we may not consider up to the task at hand based on our own understanding or lack thereof. I can not thank you enough for prompting me to contact this person. After talking with him, I learned this was an answer to his prayer as well. What a blessing in disguise. You never cease to amaze me Lord. Thank You for so much for everything You do in my life and the lives of everyone that believe on You. I lift up all my family and friends to You Father, continue to touch my life and bless me as well. Thank You for all You do on a daily basis. May my heart and spirit be sensitive to You always. Draw me close to You I pray, in Jesus name ~ Amen.

Happy Birthday My Love

Today is the birthday of the most special person I have ever known in my life. I praise God for and cherish every second I had with her. She is the most amazing woman I know or have known. Her strength would put most men to shame. Her heart is true and her love is pure. She would do anything if only asked. She was my heartbeat and what I lived for. I would have done anything for her and still would today. Unfortunately, she does not know first hand how I feel. She does not know that if only I had the chance, I would prove to her how much I loved and love her. There would be no question, no doubt. Her strength carried me and I have been forced to turn to God for everything in my life. In this detail, I am blessed because I have come to know my God and Saviour in a way I couldn't even imagine.

Oh God, the consequences I must bear for my choices bring pain to every part of my being. Forced to let go but at the same time, always holding on. Could there have been another way my God? My Father? Does she know how much she means to me? Does she know how much I love her? Father, as I draw close to You and learn to love as You love; I find myself loving her more and more every day. Despite the peace You give me, my heart longs for the most precious gift You ever gave me. Please God, draw close to her today and fill her with peace, love and joy. Touch her spirit Lord and bless her. Reveal Yourself to her that she may know You love her with a love that is beyond all understanding. That You will always be there for her, holding her, loving her, protecting her and blessing her. Though the storm rages around her God, give her hope. Help her to stay focused on You as she must walk in faith after You and according to Your will. May Your good and perfect work be done in her life. Make her magnificent in every way. Let her radiance be a light to others. This is my prayer dear Father, this is my hope. In faith I give you my precious love that you may transform her to Your likeness. Bless her every breath God, bless everything she touches and bring her joy and happiness in all she does.

My prayer to You this morning Father:

"Dear Lord, I have failed You at so many points in my life. I have repeatedly done as I wish and have made the wrong choices over and over. I can say from experience God that it is a slow fade as we live our lives in this world and forget to renew ourselves in you daily. I am so thankful that You save us by Grace Father. A grace that transcends all time and space (Romans 8:28-30; Ephesians 1:11,12). I praise You in my weakness because in my weakness You are made strong. Help me to understand and accept the grace You freely offer and the forgiving power of the blood of Jesus Christ upon that cross many years ago. I give my life to You Lord. Take my faults and heal me, mend me. I know I can do nothing by my own strength. I love You so much Jesus. Touch my life today, heal my spirit, forgive me of my sins and draw me close to You in every way. Change my heart and teach me to draw close to you in Spirit. I want a true, real, powerful and intimate relationship with You Lord. I realize this is the only way I will truly walk according to Your will and in the light.
